to the
Yes, it's a cold old day but we loved to sing and a
little snow just isn't going to slow us down. (smile) So, I would
like to welcome you now to listen to the old Allegre Quartet. These next
few songs were on an old practice tape we did at the church way back in
1982. I wish that the quality was better because these are some great old
songs. Brother Arvil Harrison found this tape and was kind enough to let
me copy from it. The quartet consist of; Carol Troutman, (lead), Arvil
Harrison, (Baritone), Bro. C. B. Troutman, (tenor), Jim Keeling, (Bass),
and Joyce Strader, (Piano) I hope that you will enjoy listening as I
present to you;
I sure do hope that you've enjoyed listening to some very old singing. Bro. C. B. Troutman and Bro. Carol have gone on now to be with the Lord. Arvil is in his middle 80's now and Joyce is still playing at the church. As for me? Well, I'm disabled and in a wheel chair most of the time now but still singing some. (smile) But one if these days I'll join my dear friends in Heaven and we'll sing our praises to God for all eternity. I sure do miss these old times singing around that ole piano together with my friends.
